MS. ALICE MILLS ROBUSKY

Ms. Alice Mills Robusky of Tampa, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012.  A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at New Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 1006 South 50th Street, with the Reverend Alec Hall, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Alice was a native of Tampa and a former resident of Atlanta, Georgia. She was a 1968 graduate of Middleton High School where she was voted “Best Looking” for the Senior Class, a member of the Xinos, a member of the Pep Squad, and a part time teen model at Sears Roebuck.  She attended Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Florida and Business University of Tampa, Tampa, Florida.  Alice was a member of the New Saint Matthew M.B. Church, Reverend Alec Hall, where she exercised her spiritual gifts in ministry as Church Announcer, a member of the Usher Board, and President of the Greeters Ministry.  Alice spent many years providing guidance and assurance to students at Jefferson High School in Tampa as a counselor.  Alice turned down an opportunity to model for Ebony Magazine, instead choosing to work as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines, allowing her to do what she loved, traveling the world!
After 25 years of seeing the world with Delta Airlines, she retired and devoted much of her time and energy to spending quality time with her grandchildren and parents.  Her interests included family, gardening, “Do-wop” and reading.
Alice was predeceased by her sisters, Gwendolyn Beverly Mills and Sheila “Cherry” Mills Jones; and brother, Buford Mills, Sr.
Alice will be forever remembered by her loving children, Monique Mills; Altelio Moragne, and wife, Dionne; and Jason Robusky, all of Tampa; grandchildren she loved and cherished, Bryce Moragne, Raigan Moragne, Taylor Moragne, and Austin Mills of Tampa; parents, Deacon Namon and Idell Mills of Tampa;  sisters and brothers, Joyce Ann Brown and husband, Louis of Tampa; Namon Bernard Mills and wife, Diane of Texas; and Jacquelyn Mills Brown and husband, Garry of Tampa; sister-in-law, Barbara D. Mills; nieces and nephews, Buford W. Mills, Jr. of Tampa; Monica Mills of Winterville, NC; Valencia Lopez of Tampa; Patrick Mills of San Francisco, CA; Donna Mills Douglas and husband, Jermaine of Tampa; Victor Mills of Tampa; Tasha Brown of Tampa; Maurice Green of Los Angeles, CA; Winston Jones of Tampa; Kimberly Sanders and husband, Kendell of Texas; Chris Mills of Texas; and Philip Guest of Tampa; aunts and uncles, Delores Harpool, Mary Hargis, Linell McCaskill (James); Napolean Mills (Shirlene); Emma Edwards; Bertha Edwards; and Catherine Gainous; and a host of nieces and nephews, along with loving family and friends too numerous to name whose lives she touched with her infectious smile, unconditional love, caring ways and liberal generosity.
Her remains will repose after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 North Howard Avenue.
