Mrs.
Annie L. Hood, affectionately known as “BOOT”, passed away Tuesday,
February 7, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February
18, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North
Howard Avenue, with Pastor Quantai Washington officiating.
Mrs. Annie Hood resided in Tampa, Florida for many years until
relocating to Ft Myers, Florida with her husband Willie James Hood, Sr.
to continue The Hood Automotive Repair business.
She attended local schools in Hillsborough County and was a member of
Jesus Christ Outreach Center in Ft. Myers, FL, Pastor H.D. Watkins, Jr.
She was employed with Old Time Pottery for 11 ˝ years until her
retirement in 2010.
Mrs. Annie Hood was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Annie
Jackson Sr.; daughter, Gladys Ann Mitchell; nephews, Bobby Mitchell and
Manissinee Jackson.
She leaves to cherish the glory years she shared together with her
husband of 19 years, Mr. Willie James Hood, Sr.; her devoted and loving
daughter, Seneca Robinson (Shawn Sr.); 2 grandchildren, Shawn “Mickey”
Jr. and Zenobia Robinson; sisters-in-law, Lucy Mae Wilson and Avery
Hood of Ft. Myers, FL.; 4 brothers, Willie Jr.(Deveda), Jessie Sr.
(Maxine), Ricky (Daphne) and Robert(Kathy) Jackson, all of Tampa, FL;
4 sisters, Hardie, Ann of Tampa and Linda, Brenda of Orlando; 3 uncles,
CW Riley (Willie Pearl) of Eufaula AL , James (Ida), Charlie(Bernice)
of Tampa, Fl.; 7 aunts, Fronie Murphy of Quincy, FL, Mary Bell
Hickman, Ethel(Albert), Carrie Lee( Ike), Eva (Lonnie), Sally(Joe)
and Mattie(Charlie), all of Tampa, FL; 14 nephews, Joe (Vanessa),
Andre (Diane), Eddie Joe, Jr., Jerome, Willie III (Celine), Willie
(Courtney), Dedrick, Jessie, Jr. (Kenya, Qunicy (Laura), Charlie Jr.
(Ashley), Special, Yves, Natural (Ilena), Chuck (Cedra) and Micheal
Jr.; 8 nieces, Sonya, Tiffany (Urvick), Hope, Jazz, Bianca, Brittney,
Temple, and Rae- Breanna; as well as an array of other cousins,
step-children, neighbors, and friends; extended love to first cousins,
Willie“Nut” James and Sherrell (Andre); unforgettable friends, Mrs.
Annie Mae Roundtree, Johnny “JJ” Watson (Sandy), and Janice “Nita”
Bradley.
The remains will repose after 5:00 p.m. Friday February 17, 2012, at Ray
Williams Funeral Home, 301 North Howard Avenue.
