Mrs. Fannie Mae Smith of Tampa passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019. A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, December 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Carol Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Fannie was a native of Monticello, Florida where she was educated in the public schools prior to relocating to Tampa, Florida. She later married, Andrew J. Smith who preceded her in death. At an early age she joined Mt. Zion AME Church, Hyde Park where she served as an Usher and Women's Missionary until her health began to fail. She worked for National Linen Service for 45 years. When she retired, she loved visiting with her family all over the state of Florida. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Josephine Franklin; father, Darnell Bellamy; brother, William F. Franklin; one sister, Annie M. Johnson; son, Charles Ennis, Jr.; niece, Lola Gipson; as well as other cherished family members.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Willie J. Smith and wife Nona and Anthony Smith and Maria, all of El Paso, TX; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ennis of Jacksonville, FL; a loving sister, Clara B. Spain of Tampa; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Wanda K. Spain; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; special nephew, Ronald Franklin; and caregiver special niece, Denise Wester; special friends, Beulah James, and Alean Engram. A Mother's Love - lasts forever, But God's Love is through-out all eternity.
The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, December 6 at Ray Williams Funeral Home.
