Julia West

Mrs. Julia Till West of Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 2204 N. Highland Avenue, Tampa with Reverend Timothy G. Cohen, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Mother Julia Till West was a native of Perry, Florida and attended Jerkins High School in Perry.  She was converted at an early age at New Brooklyn Baptist Church in Perry, Florida.  After moving to Tampa, Florida, she became a member at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Trustee and Church Mother until her health failed.

Mrs. West was preceded in death by: her husband, Alexander West Sr.; mother, Sallie A Williams; father, Mack Williams Sr.; sisters, Mary Tawee Dunwood and Verdie Kittie Dobson; and brothers, Mack Williams Jr. and Earl Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Maxine Williams Rivers of Tampa, FL,  Capurs E. Williams (Sandra) of Jacksonville, FL, G. Everette Burghart Williams I (Barbara) of Jacksonville, FL, Jimmie Williams (Teri) of Georgia, Charles Conley of Miami, FL, Elouise Williams of Miami, FL, Patricia Williams of Michigan, and Elouise Underwood of Tampa, FL; she leaves 12 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and friends. 

The remains will repose after 5:00 p.m. at Friday, January 3 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
