Mr. Marvin T. Sidney of Lutz passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 11, at 10 a.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8119 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd with Pastor Eugene Garnett, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL. Marvin Thomas Sidney was a native of Lexington, Kentucky and a resident of the Tampa Bay Area for 38 years. He was a graduate of Henry Clay High School and was baptized at a young age while attending Evergreen Baptist Church, Lexington, KY. Upon graduation, Marvin joined the United States Air Force where he served honorably. Although he served as Security Forces and Military Police, his compassion for wounded veterans led him to a 35 year career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the James Haley VA Hospital. Marvin's compassion earned him many awards and letters of commendation from Congress. Marvin rededicated his life to Christ when he joined Springhill M. B. Church in 2008. Marvin was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert Lee Sidney, Sr. and Mary Dalton Sidney Gordon; grandparents, Roscoe Dalton, Sr., Coradella Dalton, and Thomas and Emma Lee Rankins; two brothers, Robert Lee Sidney, Jr. and Gerald Wayne Sidney; five aunts, Virginia Dalton Sidney, Sue Dalton Francis, Willie Lee Dalton, Letitia Dalton Graves, and Polly Sidney Gill; and one uncle, Roscoe Dalton, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: the love of his life, his wife of 12 years, Denie Sidney; his beautiful daughter, Mattison Grace Sidney; brother, David Sidney of Austin, TX; sister, Patricia Sidney of Lexington, KY; sisters-in-law, Clara Sidney of Winchester, KY, Janice Sidney of Lexington, KY, Dellareese (Kevin) Coulon of Tampa, FL, Salita (Samuel) Mason of Land O' Lakes, FL, and Richelle (Cornelius) Robinson Louder of Newport Richey, FL; and a host of special nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews other relatives and friends. The remains will repose, Tuesday, December 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N.
