Mattie Jackson Obituary

Mrs. Mattie Ree Jackson of Tampa passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Catalytic Church, 6212 N. 47th Street with Reverend Randy Green, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie Ree Jackson was a native of Macon, Georgia and a resident to Tampa for over 50 years.  She was educated in the public schools of Macon, GA and was a member of Southern Emmanuel Holiness Church. 

She retired as a Custodian from the School District of Hillsborough County, Webb Jr. High School. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Green, Sr.; mother, Bessie Green; sons, Bobby Jackson, Sr. and Clarence Jackson; two daughters, Delores Marsh and Betty Jackson; and grandsons, Arcelious and Desmond Marsh.

She leaves to cherish her memory: son, James Leon Jackson; grandchildren, Johnny, Phillip, LaShanda (Marlin Sr.), Yodell (Phillip), Barbara (Kenneth), Virgil, Arcelious, Angela, Antino, Bobby III, Clarence, Yasema, Andrew, Tremayne, Scott, Irish, Kelly, Joshua, Adarius, Kogee, Dreminda, James, LaShawn, Tarsheala, Akbar, and Khalliah; 68 great grandchildren; 53 great great grandchildren; special niece "like a daughter", Mildred Harrell; nieces, Deborah, Shirley, Marguette (Johnny), Barbara, Robin, Colette, Tonja (Joseph), Vera, Linda, Dorothy, Sherl, Kathy, and Sandra; nephews, Homer III, Randy (Sandra), Danny, Michael, LaFayette, Thomas, Robert, Gary, Ricky, Marshall and Alton; daughters-in-law, Barbara Jackson and Emma Jackson; caregivers, Jessica and Lulu; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.  

The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, January 3 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
