Mercedes Reddick

Mrs. Mercedes Twiggs Reddick, 81, of Tampa, passed away, surrounded by family on Thursday, November 7, 2019.  Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 3910 W. Laurel St., Tampa, Florida, 33607, with Pastor Dwayne E. Sanders, Sr., Officiating and Pastor Wallace Z. Bowers, Eulogist.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Ave., Tampa, Florida 33610.

Mrs. Mercedes Twiggs Reddick was born in Tampa, Florida where she attended Hillsborough County Schools.  Mrs. Reddick was well-known throughout the Tampa Bay Community as a talented hairstylist.  She later pursued a career in nursing, retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.   

Mrs. Reddick was preceded in death by: her late husband, Mr. Wilmon Reddick Sr., and daughter, the late Thalia G. Reddick.   

Mrs. Reddick is survived by: her loving and devoted children, Valerie (Robert III) Ayer, Wilmon, Jr. (Lucy) Reddick, Sybil Reddick, Althea Reddick and Keith Reddick; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
