Mrs. Alecia Renee Barner (“Renee”) of Tampa, Florida passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, at 12:00 noon at Exciting Faith Alive at Mt. Silla, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue with Reverend Antonio Hawkins, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Masks are required.
Mrs. Barner, known as “Renee” was born on December 18, 1973 in Tampa, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Patricia Highsmith and Allen Jackson. Renee was a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She attended Hillsborough County Public Schools and was a member of Brown Temple Church of God in Christ. She was employed as a Package Handler at DHL.
Renee loved her kids, husband, friends, family and the Bucs!!
She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Jackson; mother, Patricia Highsmith; grandson, Jermain Goins Jr.; and stepdaughter, Jada Barner.
She leaves to mourn: her beloved husband, Bobby Barner, Sr.; children, Allen Thornton (Jazmin), Demetria Mays, Carolyn Clarke (Erica), D’Andre Fowler, Vintrice Rogers, John Hunt III, Da’Quan Barb (Leona) and Deja Barb (Jarmaine); stepchildren, Bobby Barner, Jr., Devin Barner, Camille Barner and Jamille Barner; grandchildren, London Mainer, Arionna Hunt, Camren Thornton, Alonzo Mainer, Jr., DaKarai Barb, Da’Quan Barb, Jr., John Hunt IV, Zyaire Thornton, Omari Taylor, Gianni Goins, Jada Thornton, Kaycee Goins, Kayden Goins and Dakota Barb; stepgrandson, Jaylon Barner; siblings, Pamela Willis, Lee Williams, Michael Williams, Anita Hagens (Alphonso), Tameka Hagens, Steven Walton (Marshanna), Eric Walton (MeMe), Preston Oliver and Ashley Jackson (Fred); nieces and nephews, Eugene Johnson, Jr., Kayla Willis-Dorsey (Willie), Henry Willis, Mikera Williams, Sirbarionna Jackson, Aaliyah Jackson, Mikael Williams, Davon Robinson, Chad Stokes, A’zoria Lee, Zachary Walton, Sydney Walton, Clifford Walton, Zacora Walton, Michelle Martin-Jackson, Antwanesa Harris, Danté Martin and Erik Barner; sister-in-law, Mattie Martin; brother-in-law, Eugene Barner (Sharon) and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
The remains will repose from 4 - 7 P. M. Friday, May 28 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Masks are required.
