Mr. Alfonso Jones passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 17, at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa with Reverend Prentiss Davis, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Mr. Alfonso Jones was born on July 16, 1957 in Tampa, FL. He attended Plant High School where he ran track and graduated in 1975. He worked for the Tampa Housing Authority from 1978 until his retirement in management with the company. He was very kind and loving to everyone. He was a proud man and definitely a no nonsense type of guy. Mr. Jones was a master of everything including singing, carpentry and advising. Our dad was an awesome listener and an even better teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Nannie Mae Jones and father, Curtis Jones; uncles, Jessie, Dennis, Willie and Leroy Pittman; aunts, Christine Davis and Dorothy Knighton.
He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing: his loving children, two daughters, Ebony S. Jones (Torrie) of Bartow, FL and Bianca Jones of Tampa, FL; three sons, Markeast Jones (Jessica), Patrick Jones (China) and Leo Peck Sr. all of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren, Markhiyah and Marquez Johnson of Bartow, FL, Kiahra Davis of Bartow, FL, Lilianna Stevens, Leo Peck Jr., Leyona and Empress Peck, all of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Marvin and Wilbon Jones; one sister, Sadie Mae Jones, all of Tampa, FL; one aunt, Mildred Johnson; one uncle, John Pittman; special nieces, Kuisha and Tyeisha “Fats”; nieces, Veronica, Felicite, Angelina (Demetrius) and Bonita; nephews, Cedric, Anthony and Donald and a host of other sorrowing cousins, family, friends and loved ones.

The remains will repose from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
