Mother Allene Barton of Tampa passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Without Walls International Church, 4414 N. Grady Avenue with Bishop Randy White, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines.
Mrs. Allene Brown Barton was a native of Nashville, Georgia and she attended the public schools of Ocilla, GA. She was a resident of Tampa for over 65 years and was a member of Without Walls International Church, Tampa, FL. She retired from Tampa General Hospital where she worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA).
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Dewitt Brown and Drewcilla Miller-Brown; husband, Willie Barton, Sr.; oldest son, Marvin Leconner Barton; stepson, Willie Barton, Jr.; sister, Juanita Brown-Simmons; brother, Willie Brown and son-in-law, Pelham Golden, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Willene Golden, Vilda Barton, Darrell Barton, Terri Brewer (Ronald), Geina Henderson (George), Larry Barton, all of Tampa, FL and Alvin Barton of Augusta, GA; stepson, Richard Barton (Marie) of Syracuse, NY; 47 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn Solomon (Richard) and Anita Barton; close friends, Bonnie Crews and Sandra Flowers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
