Mr. Amond Rashaad McGriff, aka Captain Savage, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church, 2923 N. Tampa Street, Tampa, FL, 33602, with Pastor Lennox Zamore, Officiating. Amond Rashaad McGriff was born in Tampa, Florida on November 7, 1996, to Henry McGriff III and Lisa Jenkins. He attended Hillsborough and Pasco County Schools. Amond lived his life to the fullest. He loved producing music, football, landscaping, fishing and outdoors. He attended Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church under Dr. Jeffery Singletary. Amond accepted Christ at a young age and was a part of the children and student ministries.
Amond was a citizen of The Muscogee (Creek) Nation of African and Native American descent.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Lisa Jenkins; father, Henry McGriff III; stepmother, Rebekah Lewis; two daughters, Elleyanna Reyes, and Brystol Ann McGriff; Godfather, Samuel Robinson; seven brothers, Henry McGriff IV, Ian McGriff, Jaden Kaymore, DeEverette Kaymore, Jonte McGriff, Jayvon McGriff, and Kylan Thornton; two sisters, Myla Williams, and Mikeyah Williams; grandfathers, Henry McGriff Jr., and Mack Jenkins, grandmother, Yvonne McGriff; aunt, Lashawnda House; uncles, Jerod McGriff, and Michael Jenkins; nephew, Kyrie Kaymore; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins (Florida, Delaware, Oklahoma, Texas, and California) and friends.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.
