Andrea Michelle McCray

Mrs. Andrea Michelle Mccray passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at New Macedonia M.B. Church, 3402 Deleuil Ave, Tampa FL 33610, Pastor Paul M. Buster, Officiating. Interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Michelle was born on August 9, 1981, in Savannah, Georgia to the late parents Sheila Gilbert and stepfather Ernest Knight. She was a graduate of Hillsborough Senior High School, Class of 2000. Michelle further pursued her education and received a master’s degree in the medical industry alongside two other degrees. She retired from Publix supermarket. Michelle was brought up in Faith Temple Missionary Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandfather, Lewis Gilbert; uncle, Tyrone Gilbert; and aunt, Tonya Singleton.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories with her husband, Jim McCray; father, Thomas R. Shields III; siblings, twin brother, Andre Gilbert (Tequaneishia), Antonio Gilbert (Lashawn), Kevin Lynch (Kim), Elizabeth Gilbert, Tiawanda Lynch, Regina Lynch, Latasha Lynch, Tonette Lynch, and Vonette Lynch; two sister-in-laws, Rose McCray, and Tracy McCray; two brother-in-laws, Joe McCray, and Tim McCray; grandparents, Bertha Elizabeth Singleton, and Thomas R. and Lois Shields, Jr.; aunt, Germaine (David) Jones; uncles, Korey Kevin Singleton (Joyelle), Louis Jerome Gilbert, Michael (Kimberly) Shields, Darrell (Linda) Shields, and  Brian (Lorraine) Shields; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  MASK RECOMMENDED.
