Annette Taylor Obituary

Our beloved mother, Annette I. Taylor (Baby Taylor) was born in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines on March 5th, 1946 to the late James and Claudine Taylor. She was the second of four siblings; the late Patricia Bailey, Roslyn Child and Joanne Peters who are currently residing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. After completing her education, she worked at Cansave and at the St. Vincent Banana Association. Later on in her life she felt the need to achieve more and became an independent business owner. She was the owner of a community convenient store and became a culinary professional, creatively mastering the art of decorating wedding cakes.

Mommy was very active and always on the move. She frequently visited her children here in the United States. During her frequent travels, she felt the need to be closer to her children and grandchildren. During the month of September 2004, she finally took up residency here in the United States and joined her daughter, Desiere Taylor in Tampa, Florida, where she resided until the time of her passing.

Mommy was a unique woman and one of a kind.  She was God fearing, prayerful and kept her family together. She loved shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading her bible. She was also a good singer with an impeccable voice. She was kind, compassionate and so generous; she would give the last of what she had.

Mom leaves us to cherish loving and found memories. She is survived by: her four beloved children, Gemma Osuji, Michele Taylor, Desiere Taylor and Kirl Paul; Son-in-law, Bishop Dr. Ben Osuji; daughter-in-law, Shiegko Paul; brothers-in-law, Dillon Child and Kenneth Peter; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Venner, Mikeya Paul, Kai Paul, Maya Paul, Imani McQuay, Stephanie McQuay and Tirena McQuay.

We will miss you Mommy, the memories, the values and virtues you instilled in us will be cherished and uphold for the rest of our lives.  Your work on this earth is completed, rest in the Lord Mommy.
