Mr. Arthur James Odum of Tampa, FL passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, with Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating. Interment will be held Monday, March 29 at 11 a.m. in the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
Mr. Arthur J. Odum was a native of Cuthbert, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for 60 years.
He was a United States Army Veteran and graduate of Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama. Mr. Odum’s career in the Military and in civilian life was in the field of Masonry/Construction. He was a member of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: loving daughter, Carnetha Leech of Riverview, FL; son-in-law, Otis Leech; granddaughter, Lindasia and fiancée Miracle; Goddaughter, Betty Broadway; longtime friends, JT Smith and Jean Smith; a host of friends and loved ones to include, Mt. Tabor Church family, Carnel Buie and family, Tresa Clark and family, Tisha Robinson, Tasha, Erica, Wayne, Vari, Arianna, Tommie, Melissa, Gloria Tolbert and Reginald Hutcherson; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
All of his family and friends were loved by him and we will cherish all of the memories that were made with him.
The remains will repose from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
