Mrs. Barbara Jean Bagley Dean of Ridgeville, South Carolina, formerly of Tampa passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Brandon Christian Church, 910 Bryan Road, Brandon, FL 33511, Reverend Day Broers-Case, Pastor with Reverend Cassie George, eulogist. Interment will follow promptly at 1:00 p.m. in the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
Mrs. Barbara Jean Bagley Dean was a native of Gifford, Florida where she received her early education in the Gifford County School System. She met the love of her life, Jesse J. Dean and the two joined in Holy Matrimony in 1955. Jesse joined the United States Air Force and together they did extensive travel. She later furthered her education at Saint Leo College, Tampa, FL where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Barbara exemplified services by actively participating in Civic engagements where she offered selfless services. She was preceded in death by: her parents, David and Eloise Bagley; her siblings, Ben Bagley (Josie), Thelma Bagley Walters (Malachi), Ernestine Bagley Jenkins (Fred), Carl Corrinza (Lena), Bertha Vasquez Payne (Francis), Willie J. Bagley (Loretta) of Brandon, FL, Hazel Pauline Bagley and David Bagley, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Alex Dean of Brandon, FL; a daughter-in-law, Belinda; granddaughter, Haley Dean of Canada; brothers, Clarence Bagley, Tyrone Bagley (Phyllis), and Louise Bagley Thompson, all of Vero Beach, Florida, Joanne Bagley Williams of Cottageville, South Carolina, Cassandra Bagley Jenkins (Bob) of Vero Beach, FL and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The Visitation was held Thursday, February 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
