Bessie Rodriguez Obituary
Mrs. Bessie Rodriguez of Tampa, Florida passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, February 16 at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, with Reverend Earl B. Mason, Sr., officiant. The interment followed.
Mrs. Rodriguez was a native of Quincy, Florida and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years. She graduated from Florida A. & M. College and was a member of St. Paul AME Church, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, and the Tampa Chapter of Links, Inc. Mrs. Rodriguez retired after 40 years of dedicated service as an Educator from the School District of Hillsborough County.
She leaves to mourn her passing: a devoted daughter, Normita R. Jeffery and husband, Timothy; granddaughters, Leslie Jeffery and Andrea Jeffery; great granddaughter, Jayla Jeffery; cousins, Gladys Blalock, Carole, Josette, Stephanie, and Joe Sykes; and many friends, former students and extended family.
The visitation was held Monday, February 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
