Mrs. Betty Jean Robinson Lamar of Tampa passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Antonio Pringley of Fruit of the Spirit Ministries, officiating.
Mrs. Betty Jean Robinson Lamar was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida born to Virginia Pittman Robinson and Willie C. Robinson. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough and was a home day care provider.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie C. Robinson; grandfather, Mr. George Pittman, Sr.; grandmother, Annie Lou Pittman; sister, Angela Taylor; brother, Willie C. Robinson, Jr.; aunt, Annie Ree Brown; and niece, Nicole Robinson-Jordan.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three devoted children, Shaqwanna Reynolds, Vashon Robinson and Tavaris Lamar; husband, Nathan Lamar; stepchildren, Nathan Lamar, Jr., Gaye Lamar, LaTonya Lamar and Jermaine Lamar; a loving, caring and devoted mother, Virginia Robinson; two devoted brothers, Charles Robinson and Kenneth Robinson; step sisters, Charlottte Cole and Jacquelyn Williams; and step brother, Darrell Cole; grandchildren, Cameron Robinson, Vashon Robinson, Jr., Vashya Robinson, Vasanti Robinson, A'Naiya Lamar, Tavaris Lamar, Jr., Taveiya Lamar; nieces and nephews, April Hutchinson, Ashley Cannon, Tamika Smith, Monte Bowens and Devona Bowens; devoted friend, Wayne; and a host of cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, January 31 at Ray Williams Funeral Home.
