Betty Nobles Obituary

Ms. Betty Ann Nobles of Tampa, FL better known as “Betty Boo” passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Exciting Faith Alive, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Tampa, FL 33619, Pastor Antonio Hawkins, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Ms. Betty Ann was born Wednesday, December 25, 1963, in Fulton, Alabama to Ernestine Washington Nobles and James E. Nobles. Betty later moved to Tampa, FL in 1972, where she was raised by one of her older siblings, Shirley, and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. Betty was a “Hustler-baby”, and nothing could stop her go-getter attitude and shine. She loved the holiday seasons, especially Christmas, not only because it was her birthday, but because it was always a time for her to spend more moments with her family whom she loved dearly.  She spread her joy to her family not only through gift-giving but by being there to make everyone laugh their tails off. She was always the life of the party, never a dull moment when she was around. Betty also loved to throw down in the kitchen in anyone’s time of need, joy, sickness, grief, or whatever the occasion may be. She showed her love by making any of her delicious comfort dishes. But most of all, Betty enjoyed being a grandmother more than anything in this world.  She loved and cared so dearly for her grandchildren that she’d go to the ends of the world and back. She was a devoted, loving mother, spouse, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Betty will be dearly missed and loved.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Ernestine Washington Nobles; father, James E. Nobles; brothers, Louis Washington, Freddie Nobles, Robert Nobles, Dorothy, Eugene Washington, and Earnest Lee Nobles; and sisters, Erminteen Pugh, and Gloria Todd.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: spouse, Dwayne Scott; daughter, Sharmane (Willie) Palmore; son Jermane Nobles Sr. (Samika Brown); grandchildren, Janiya, Jermane Jr, Jaleel, Taylor, Wynter, Jaheim, and Waylynn; brothers, Dwight (Diana) Nobles, Roy (Pinease) Nobles, and Richard Nobles; brother-in-law, Ira Todd; sisters, Annette (Johnnie) Jackson, Jodie (David) Hyde of Thomasville, AL., Shirley Dortch (Otis), and Bernice (Robert) Thomas; sister-in-law, Ruth Washington, and Tina, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  MASK RECOMMENDED.
