Brenda Hines

Pastor Brenda Hines of Tampa passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 9 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Pastor Thomas Hadden, officiating with Pastor Derwin Ashley, eulogist.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines.

Mrs. Brenda Hines was a native of Tampa, Florida.  She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School.  Mrs. Hines was a member of Peoples For Christ Ministries and was an ordained minister.  She retired as a Funeral Director where she served the communities of Las Vegas, Nevada and California. 

She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Ashley; father, Nathaniel Bolden; son, Edward Ashley; and brother, Reginald Bolden.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving mother, Mercedes Bolden; her loving children, Benita Kelly, Derwin Ashley, Sr. and wife Kay Ashley, and Fredrick Ashley and wife Beatriz Solis-Torres; grandchildren, James Kelly, FraNita Kelly, Ashley Kelly, Shecariye Smith, Carmen Ashley, Derwin Ashley, Jr., Tyler Ashley, Ethan Ashley, Darion Ashley, Joshua Ashley-Solis; great grandchildren, Naija Kelly and Nasir Kelly; siblings, Dwight Bolden, Michael Bolden, Terry Bolden, Nathaniel Bolden, Jr., and Marcia Norflee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held Thursday, July 9 from 3-7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home.  We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
