Brenda J. Thomas-Ross of Tampa, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday June 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Life In Christ Community Church, 9706 N. 26th Street, with Elder Fredrick Thomas, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines.
Brenda was a native of Tampa, FL born to Fredrick D. Thomas and Mildred Miller. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School. She was a member of The Grace of God Church M. B. Church.
Brenda was preceded in death by: her parents, Mildred Miller and Fredrick D. Thomas; aunt, Dorothy Newton; brothers, Wallace Miller, and Alfred Moore Jr.; sister, Florence Miller; and nephew, Derrick Moore.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Dion (Phalen) Little; son, Ronald (Michelle) Williams Jr.; grandchildren, Dontae (Nadia) Thomas, Eboni Thomas-Mack, Derek (Shontavia) Williams, Mariah Williams, Derek (Michelle) James, Damian Williams, and Tyuane Keeton; brothers, Frederick (Sheila) Thomas, Clyde Marshall, Wesley (Lori) Shuler, and Donnell Williams Sr.; sister, Freddye (James) Bivens; Sister-in-law, Christine Moore; 13 great-grands, Keyon Jr., Janasia, Taniyah, Shatavia, Clifford 4th, LeJaun Jr., My’Love, Shawn, Jayla, Kenneth, Dalani, Jamia, and Jamareus; nieces, Shelathia Thomas, Kendra (Bismark) Manes, Cherel (Tarrant) Gilbert, Kim Bivens and Kelly (Derek) Saffold; nephews, Keith Thomas, Chris Thomas, Jermaine Thomas, Fred (Allison) Salters and James (Kathy)Bivens Jr.; Godchildren, Keenya (Darius), Chanelle (Terence), Terri (Kerrence), Kevin (Sharon), Greg (Rosina), Francina (Roland), Tiffany (Tony), Tony (April), and Francina (Roland); special daughters, Tameka (Raymond) and Rhonda (Chancey); bestfriends, Beautie Carter and Jackie Hudson; and a host of relatives and friends and a special thank you to her hospice care team.
The remains will repose from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
