“A Celebration of New Life” for Brother Michael Shae Williams, Sr., who passed on July 31, 2025, at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida, will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Kaleb Barnum, Officiant, and Reverend Alphonso Lewis, Eulogist.
Brother Michael Shae Williams Sr., entered into life on November 27, 1974, in Tampa, Florida, to the parents of Brother Joe Williams and Sister Cynthia Epps-Lester. As a native of Tampa, he graduated from Armwood High School and then became an expert truck driver until his Illness and subsequent demise. Brother Williams was a long-standing member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa, under the leadership of his grandfather, Dr. C. P. Epps.
Those preceded him in death are: his mother, Sister Cynthia Epps-Lester; stepfather, Deacon Willie J. Lester; grandparents, Reverend Dr. C. P. and sister Irma Epps; uncle, Bro. LeRoy Epps; aunt, Sister Yvonne Brannon; and Godmother, Sister Margaret Peterson Long.
Those left to cherish his memories: his son, Michael Williams, II.; daughter, Kujuana Jackson; sister, Joeni Kirkland (Kevin); father, Joe Williams (Bertha); nieces, Mykala Williams, Tia Doston, and Shakavia Kirkland; nephew, Kevin Kirkland II; aunts, Gloria Epps, Marian Epps, Grace Windham, Deborah Thomas, Normita Jeffrey (Timothy), Phyllis Shorter (Moses), and Loretta Williams (David); Neighborhood Buddies; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
