Mrs. Carolyn Hall Kinsey, a retired Registered Nurse, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 after a brief illness. Born to the Late Johnny and Catherine Hall, she was a native of Tampa. Carolyn was educated in Hillsborough County Schools and was a graduate of Florida A. & M. University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She was a member of St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy M. Kinsey and by her parents, Johnny and Catherine Hall.
Carolyn leaves loving memories with her husband, Herbert Kinsey; son, Kirk M. (Shaniqua) Kinsey of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Brynae Kinsey, K.J. Kinsey, Jr., India Moultrie, and Robert Moultrie; brothers, Jon (Sharon) Hall of Camden, DE, and Anthony (Ramona) Hall of Plantation, FL; sister, Julia Collins of Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law, Samuel (Alma) Kinsey and Joseph Kinsey of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law, Betty Kinsey, Pauline Kinsey Glymph, Ellen Kinsey, Jackie Kinsey Dennis; aunt, Tina Hall; nieces and nephews, Sonja Collins Freeman of Ocala, FL, Audrey Glymph, and Cassandra Glymph of Tampa, FL, Khloe Hall, Kai Phillips-Lustick of Plantation, FL. Tekefia Hall of Plantation, FL, Terrance Hall of Phoenix, AZ., Rodney (Kimberly) Hemmingway, Kimberly N. Michael (Carolyn) Kinsey. Ricky Kinsey and Robin Kinsey of Tampa, FL, Ronald (Tameka) Kinsey of Boston, MA, Sean (Brandee) Kinsey, and Tarence Kinsey of Tampa, FL, cousins, Gregory and Gloria Jackson of Tampa, FL; and a host of other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33606. Visitation hours have been extended and we are asking family and friends to pay their respects and to follow the CDC guidelines. Due to the Coronavirus, a public service will not be held.
