Carrie Richardson Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Rush Richardson-Cromuel of Tampa, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8119 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, Florida with Reverend Eugene Garnett, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Carrie was a native of Tallahassee, Florida and attended Leon County Public Schools. After moving to Tampa, Carrie joined her husband at Springhill MB Church and remained a faithful member until she passed away. Carrie worked for the Neighborhood Service Center before succumbing to her husband’s request to be a stay-at-home wife and mother.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Richardson, Kathy Richardson Lawrence (Eddie) and Kay Richardson Powell (Sylvester); step-children, Larry Stephens, Reginald Cromuel, Ferndena King and Marshel Cromuel (Stephanie); grandchildren, Tavares Richardson (Tika), Michelle Thomas (Star, IV) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brandi Ahonsi (Solomon), April Syx, Jeffrey Oates, Quandeline Myers (Reginald), Rhodda Dorsey (Marlon), Nathaniel Woods, Shanda Cromuel, Tramine Booker, Marshal Cromuel, Marshel Cromuel, Jr., Emanuel Cromuel and Maya Cromuel; great grandchildren, Tanaisha Ralph, Tadesjah Ralph, Takiara Richardson, LaVon Thomas, Star Thomas, V, Hannah Ahonsi, Elizabeth Ahonsi, DeAsia St. Surin, Algernon Green, Jr. and Scottie Washington; great great grandchildren, Nature Bentley and Jahlasia Parris;  godchildren, Linda Leggett, Bernice Vaughn, Nina Danzey of Atlanta, GA, Diane Tyson, Jacqueline Coffie Leeks and Marie Tarver White; sisters, Ethel Mitchell of Tallahassee, FL and Daisy Christian of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brothers, Franklin Rush (Dee) of Tallahassee, FL, Louis Rush (Gertrude) of Tallahassee, FL, John Rush of Tallahassee, FL and Bill Rush of Detroit, MI; sister-in-law, Sheila Nixon (Eric); brothers-in-law, Charles Richardson (Olga), Harold Richardson (Margie) and Arnold Richardson; 98 nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Annie Barnes, as well as a host of additional family and friends including, but not limited to, Gwen Burgess, Katie Garnett, Sara Whittington, Marilyn Streeter, Harriett Kinchlow, Angela Brown, Lucille Hall, the Sulphur Springs Community, Pastor Eugene Garnett and the Springhill Family and so many more that she loved and cared for. Special thanks to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority (Tampa) and her caretakers, LifePath Hospice Melech Hospice House, Darlene Christian and Charles Warren.

The remains will repose from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Springhill M. B. Church, 8119 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
