Charlene Thomas Obituary

Ms. Charlene Ramona Thomas of Tampa passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 1, from 3-6 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL.  Please follow the CDC guidelines.  Masks are required.

Ms. Charlene Ramona Thomas was a native of Newark, New Jersey born to Mr. Jack Ervin Caddell and Mary Ann Thomas Caddell.  Charlene was educated by the public schools of Essex County, NJ where she attended Maple Avenue Annex Elementary School and was a graduate of Weequahic High School, Newark, NJ.  She furthered her education and attended Essex County College, Newark, NJ, where she earned her Associate degree in Accounting. 

Charlene enjoyed her career in Banking in New Jersey and New York prior to relocating to North Carolina.  While in North Carolina, she worked for the Pine Hurst Hotel.  Charlene moved to Florida in 1996 and began a career with the Florida Department of Transportation, retiring in 1999. 

Ms. Thomas loved to watch Classic movies especially Martial Arts movies.  She was a member of Harvest Fellowship Bible Church where she loved to sing in the choir. 

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Mary Ann Thomas Caddell. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Brianna M. Thomas “Bre Bre”, (twins) Alonzo T. Thomas and Angelina S. Thomas; father, Jack E. Caddell Sr.; sister, Calista A. Thomas; brothers, Curtis L. Thomas and Jack E. Caddell, Jr.; nieces, Laquisha A. Thomas, Brittany E. Corum, Jackisha S. Caddell, Hannah Riley, Amauri N. Thomas, and Andrea M. Thomas; nephews, Joshua L. Thomas and Jack E. Caddell, III; sisters-in-law, Pamela O. Thomas and Cynthia J. Caddell; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. 

We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
