Charlie Mae Smith Obituary

Mrs. Charlie Mae Smith of Tampa, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Henry J. Lyons, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Mrs. Smith was born on April 1, 1939, born the fourth of four children, born to the union of the late Charlie Williams and Connie Ivory.

She received her education in the public school of Middleton High School, where there she decided to get her GED to begin her career as a Nurse's Assistant where she continued her career until she retired. She was also a long-time member of “Church of Transfigurations” in Miami Florida where she served as a devoted member for years. 

She married Milton Smith and to that union, two daughters were born Stephanie and Marshell.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Milton Smith; siblings, Juanita Dunnigan, Ralph Williams, and LeRoy Williams; grandchildren, Tanya Harvey and Christopher Smith, and great grand, Prince ‘Eros Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Juanita Stephanie Harvey (Scottie) and Marshell Smith; bonus daughter, Carolyn McKinney; grandchildren, Tychell & Justin Tucker, Tashia Mustafa, Jervon Smith, Ahie Smith, Tiffany & Israel Flott, Derrecka Davis and Alfred Walker; great grandchildren, Tycornesha Young, Deion Joseph, Lataya Joseph, Damon Joseph, Ja’Lynn Tucker, Yasmin Mustafa, Laila Mustafa, Jibril Mustafa, Riyadh Mustafa, Ashonta Milton, Jayden Smith, Ta’Niyah Smith, Jasmine McKnight, Ahieona Smith, Ahie Smith Jr, Marquese Smith,  Alaeyah Capers, Akheria-Lynn Capers, Zylah Flott, Jordan Harvey, Shawn Thurston Jr, Shemar Thurston, Storm Harvey, T’Asia Walker, and Messiah Walker; two great-great grandchildren Karter Smith and Skylar Melto; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  MASK RECOMMENDED.
