Colonel Charles William Washington Jr. of Tampa, Florida passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 07, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion AME Church, 5920 Robert Tolle Dr., Riverview, FL 33578, with Pastor Karen Sims, officiating.

Charles W. Washington, Jr. (Ret-Col.) was born on April 11, 1935, in Waynesboro, PA. His parents who pre-deceased him were Estelle Mae Waltz Dennis and Charles Williams Washington Sr. He was married to the love of his life for over 62 years, the late Beverly Ann Bennett.

At the time of his death, he was co-owner of WHG, Inc., a medical services consulting business for over 3 decades.

He was preceded in death by son, William Herman Washington, and siblings, Ruth Dell, Rowena Ann a Taylor, and Jon Dennis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, William W. Howell (Belinda Carter), and Gerald Taylor Howell (Barbara); siblings, Estelle Carter, William T. Dennis, and Douglas Dennis; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, friends, and associates. 

Col. Washington will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
