Darrnell Smith

Mr. Darrnell L. Smith of Brandon, FL passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.

Mr. Darrnell L. Smith was a native of Tampa, FL, and a resident for 23 years. He attended Middleton High School. He was employed as a Customer Service Representative at Ashley Furniture. Darrnell has shown lots of love, compassion, dedication, and loyalty to others. He was very outgoing and did not require much to enjoy life. Darrnell was known to have a vision for decorating and natural ability to create fashionable styles because getting dressed up was his thing. 

The core of his happiness is his siblings. Within the womb, he formed and shared an unbreakable bond with his twin brother, Donnell Smith, from the cradle to infinity!  We as his sisters and brothers enjoyed spending time with him and being able to receive his love and kindness along with everyone he encountered. It brought him excitement planning events such as game nights, nights of bowling, party events like orchestrating his oldest sister’s baby shower/ gender reveal, as well as laughing, joking, cooking and unapologetically being himself.

Tee Tee know this: It was a pleasure for us as your sisters and brothers to all come together to support you in every aspect, making sure you were as comfortable in all measures during the toughest moment of your life. Whatever you needed, we were on it! It was also a pleasure to literally be by your side through this difficult hardship. To know you is to love you. Bro, you will forever be in our hearts. Darrnell was preceded in death by: his mother, Tiffini Taylor; grandmothers, Judy Macelus and Gloria Smith; great-grandmother, Oreda Jenkins; and auntie, Rosa Smith.

He leaves memories to be cherished by: his dedicated siblings with love for eternality, Ashanti (James Huggins), Desiree Taylor, Montre Cobb, Kevinnesha Smith, Donnesha Smith, and his twin brother, Donnell Smith; his dad, Mr. Donnell Smith; nieces, Geor'terriah Taylor, twins Rhy'Kiah and Rhy'Liyah Taylor, and Na'Ani Huggins; nephews, Yashiyah and Ezekiel Huggins; special friends, Ca’ Vonna (Peaches) Pease and Terrick Smith; and a host of uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends who love him dearly, too many to name.
