Deacon Booker T. Wilson

Deacon Booker Taliaferro Wilson of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor William Gatewood, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Deacon Booker Taliaferro Wilson was a native and a resident of Tampa for 66 years. He attended Plant High School, Class of 1975, and was a member of True Gospel of Christ. He was employed as a Locksmith at Hillsborough Community College.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Harold and Anna Wilson; grandmother, Iva M. Wilson; sisters, Faye Wilson, and Dorothy Wilson; brother, Reginald Wilson; and aunt, Elizabeth Curry.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Ashley Wilson (Joseph); grandchildren, Phoenix, Elias, and Araya Wilson; brothers, Harold (Helen), Curley (Rowena), Albert (Caretha), and Tyrone Wilson; sisters, Iva G. Banks (Russell), Laura Williams, Rosita Baker, Judy Williams (Charlie) and Gwendolyn Freeman; best friend, Ruby Mateen, and Marvin Person; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33606.
