Deacon Eddie Berryhill

Deacon Eddie Berryhill of Tampa, FL passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa with Pastor Rayford Harper, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Eddie was a native of Americus, Georgia, Sumpter County, and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years.  He attended school in Sumpter County, Georgia and Tampa, FL and was a member of First Baptist of West Tampa.  He also attended Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church with his wife.    He was employed as a sky cap and advanced to Ramp Agent at Delta Airlines, where he retired.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Will Berryhill; mother, Johnnie Mae Berryhill; brothers, Willie Frank Berryhill, and Eddie James Berryhill; sister, Joyce Henderson (Harold).

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Edna Berryhill; son, Edward Turner; daughter, CaSonya Ann Berryhill; grandchildren, Eddie M. Fields, Priya Amani Sullivan and Clamarcus Elijah Sullivan; great grandchild, Kalani Fields, all of Tampa, FL; uncle Marcellus Henry (Dora), of Tampa, FL; goddaughters, Thelma (Mimi) Gallon, Runita Jones, of Tampa, FL, and Angela L. Williams, of North Carolina; sisters, Janelle Bobbitt, of Cordele, Georgia and Roslyn Gadson (Floyd), of Americus, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Joann Davis, Catherine Gilyard and Pauline Blackmon (Robert), of Quincy, FL; special nephews, Jeffrey and Rudolph Henderson; special nieces, Sharon Henderson and Joyce James, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
