A Celebration of Love, for the well lived life of Deacon Lonzo Williams Jr. who transitioned from this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at College Hill COGIC, 6414 N. 30th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, host Pastor Charles Davis, with Pastor Donnell Williams (House of Praise) Eulogist. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.

Deacon Lonzo Williams Jr.  was born November 11, 1948, in Tampa, Florida to Lonzo Sr. and Willie Mae Williams. He grew up in the West Tampa area. Deacon Williams graduated from Howard W. Blake High School in the Class of 1967. Like a river that runs deep, he was quiet, caring and loved. He was employed for 35 years at CSX Railroad, retiring in 2009. Most of all, he loved spending time with his three dogs, LaLa, Chloe and Sweetie, along with his two cats, Tiger and Tippy. His presence and smile will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Elder Lonzo Williams Sr. and Mother Willie Mae Williams; and his sisters, Vicie Moore, and Debra Williams.

Deacon Williams leaves precious unforgettable memories with: his wife of 56 years, Pauline; sons, Dyrell Tyrone, Corey Brian, and Lonzo Paul; sister, Thelma Canty (Clifford Canty); grandchildren, Joseph, Ashley (Grandpa Baby) Zhberian, Sarita, Keontae, Brian, Kimesha, Ryonna, Corey Jr., Diamond, Xander, Jos (Grandpa Shadows), Marshauny, AJ, and Toby; great-grandchildren, CyKeria, and Kingston; four sisters-in-love and two brothers-in-love; life-long friendships, Deacon Earlie and Mother Brenda Williams, Bro. James and Sister Johnnie Mae Harris, Missionary Shirley McNally, Margaret O'Neal, Alphonso "Pig" Thomas, Mother Alice Brown, and the College Hill COGIC Love Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and godchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. The family will be there from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
