Delamitre West

Mr. Delamitre West of Wimauma, FL passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 27, at 1:00 p.m. at First Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 6012 Edina Street, with Minister Otavio West, officiating.  Interment will follow in Wimauma Community Cemetery.  Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.  

Mr. Delamitre West was a native and lifelong resident of Wimauma, Florida.  He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Earl J. Lennard High School.  Delamitre was a member of First Prospect M. B. Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory: loving parents, Santos West and Gloria Sharp; brothers, McKinsie Lyons, Allen Michael Sharp, Tyler Hodges and Sincere West; sisters, Somona Wilcox, Dominic Nelson (Jermaine Dorsey), Kayla Hodges and Santrice West; grandmother, Barbara West; uncles,  Otavio West, De’Angelo West, David West, Ismael, Floyd Sharp (Thomasina), Alonzo Sharp, and Alphonso Sharp (Cynthia); aunt, Ann Davis (Ray), Marvi Parks, Derbie Chambers, Sonja Jordan (Eddie), Tameka West, Sharnitta West, Tanikki West; nephew, Jaquan Sharp, and Jai’Voris West; nieces, Kayla Sharp, Deja Sharp, Layla Sharp and D’ayanni Hall; special cousins, TJ West, Rashonda Carrie, Gigi West, Ivan West and Acami Oaks; special friends Jerrick, Jerron, Lex, Brianna, and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. 

The remains will repose from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines.  Masks are required.
