Mr. Desmene Devon Graham affectionately known as “Bear” of Tampa passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020. A Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street with Minister Da’shon B. Lemar, officiating. Interment will follow. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Mr. Desmene Devon Graham, “Bear” was a native of Tifton, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for most of his life. He was the second child of three children born to Sharron Levette Graham and Gregory Nixon. Desmene was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was employed with Waste Management for over 10 years. Desmene was a family man and he devoted his life to his family and friends with his powerful words and comedian spirit.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Sharron Levette Graham; grandmother, Martha Stewart Nixon; grandfathers, Jackson W. Nixon, Jr. and Jerry Lee Graham; aunt, Cornelia Johnson; uncle, Willie Johnson; and cousin, Brenda F. Henry.
He leaves to cherish his memory and to carry on his legacy: his daughter, Demetria Wilson; his father, Gregory Nixon; grandmother, Eloise Graham; brother, Marquius Graham; sister, Iesha Rogers; aunts, Debra Watson, and LaShonda Graham; nephews, Jeremiah Haywood and Anthony Stewart, III; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday, July 31 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
