Dr. Ronald Lovell Obituary

Dr. Ronald H. Lovell, 77, of Gibsonton, FL, husband of the late Tidia B. Lovell, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619 with Pastor Rollie Murray, Officiant.

Ronald H. Lovell was born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Reuben H. Lovell and Lucille Morgan-Dickens. Ron was a man of many interests. He was a Minister of the Gospel for over 40 years, an accomplished musician, and the author of a four (4) book action-packed series and a motivational book.  He was also a Grand Master of the Martial Arts and a Financial Advisor with World Financial Group.  Ron had a love for both exotic and luxury vehicles, but more importantly, he had a love for his family and providing spiritual guidance to and mentoring those in need.

Affectionately known as “Pops” to his children, grands and greats, he leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Ne’Cole Smith (Jonathan) and Robbyn Lovell; sons, Ronald Lovell and Randall Lovell; grandchildren, Percy Carr, Jr., Da’Vaune Carr, Jason Upshaw, Jordan Upshaw, Jukon Washington, Angelo Lovell, Ania Lovell, Aliya Lovell, Antonio Lovell, Randall Lovell, Jr., Janessa Fernandez, Christian Lovell, and Sophia Lovell; great-grandchildren, A’mere Carr, Ayla Carr, and Josia Shouse; and a host of family, friends and all who knew him. 

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619.
