A native of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Edward D. Viverette transitioned on Saturday, May 22, 2021. A Celebration of Life for Edward will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Avenue with Pastor Michael Kneeley, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. Masks are required.

Edward was born on January 14, 1966 to the parentage of Edward and Bettie Viverette. Edward graduated from Tampa Bay Tech High School, Class of 1984 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology at Florida State University, Class of 1990.
Edward worked as a Program Specialist for the Child Abuse Council and also worked matriculation at the Youth Development Specialist Corporation to develop communities of Tampa, Inc., as a Case Manager for Tampa Hillsborough Action Plan, Inc. and was a Clinical Case Manager for Mental Health Care.
In 2014, Edward walked in the Million Man March. A very family-oriented man, Edward was a positive role model to all. A stand-up and go-to guy, he always showed and shared his love with everyone, bringing sunshine at sad times. His legacy will be one of integrity, honesty and compassion with a desire to help all in need.
Edward was preceded in death by: his grandparents, James and Emma Bogan and Tommie and Ruthie Viverette.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: devoted parents, Edward and Bettie Viverette; devoted and only child, Sean Michael Cooke (Ellery); girlfriend, Latheria Knight; brothers, Arthur Evans and Jeffrey R. Viverette, Sr.; sisters, Charlene Viverette, Sabrina Viverette; Godsister, Anita Riley and Rebecca Evans; God Aunt, Eva Russell; aunt, Tressie Viverette of Mississippi; uncles, James Bogan, Jr., Gerald Bogan, Larry Bogan; nephews, Robert McBride, Jr., Edward McBride, Jeffrey Viverette, Jr. and Javon Viverette; nieces, Jorené Evans, Jazzerey Viverette, Kendra Henderson and Kiara Evans; devoted cousins, Sherria and Ronald Lewis, Kesha and Marcus Muschett, Bridgette Douglas (Marcus) and Willie M. Leath, Jr.; honorable mention, cousins, Henry Bogan, Jr. and Earl McKinley; close cousin, Angela Viverette; close friends, Cheryl Upton Harris, Marilyn Wilson and Jacqueline Randolph; and a host of cousins and friends.
The remains will repose from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 4 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Masks are required.
