Ernest Lee Nobles Obituary

Mr. Earnest Lee Nobles of Tampa passed away Friday, June 12, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 27 at 2 p.m.  at Exciting Faith Alive, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Apostle Marilyn Roberts, officiating with Pastor Antonio Hawkins, eulogist.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.  Please follow the CDC guidelines. 

Mr. Earnest Lee Nobles was a native of Fulton Alabama and longtime resident of Tampa, Florida. Earnest Lee Nobles affectionately known as ‘Fat Mook’ accepted Christ at an early age. Earnest was born to the late Earnestine Washington Nobles and James Nobles and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. 

Earnest was a devoted long distant truck driver who enjoyed his career and worked with several trucking companies prior to his retirement to include Mary’s, Walpole, WW Trucking and Lessor Trucking.  He retired after 42 years of dedicated service. When Earnest retired, he continued his passion as an Independent Owned Truck Driver.  

He loved his family so much so he would spend little time at home to make sure he was a good provider for his family.  His loving, kind, and fun spirit will be remembered by all of those that knew him. 

He preceded in death by: his mother, Earnestine Washington Nobles; father, James Nobles; daughter, Lekenya Cooper; brothers, Louis Washington, Freddie Nobles, Robert Nobles and Eugene Washington; and sisters, Erminteen Pugh, Dorothy (Franklin) Burleson, and Gloria Gene Todd. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: a special friend/caregiver, Tina Herring of Tampa; daughters, Lakesha Grayson, Heather Slater, Octavius Grayson, and Earnesia Nobles; sons, Ernest Nobles Jr., Anthony Nobles, Mario Nobles, Timothy Nobles, and Devon Nobles; five sisters, Annet (Johnnie) Jackson, Shirley Dortch, Reverend Jodie (David) Hyde of Thomasville, AL, Betty Nobles, and Bernice (Robert) Thomas; sister-in-law, Ruth Washington; five brothers, Roy (Pinease) Nobles, Dwight (Diana) Nobles, Richard (Deloris) Nobles, Kelvin (Chastity) Nobles of Fairburn, GA, and Michael Nobles of McDonough, GA; brother-in-law, Ira Todd Jr.; grandchildren, Auri’Yana Nobles, Omari Nobles, Ziniya Nobles, Janiyah Nobles, Jamar Nobles, Isaiah Benitez, Mathyus Almighty, Messiah Almighty, Imani Nobles, Eriana Nobles, Ella Nobles, Elijah Nobles, Mehki Nobles, Jaxson Reid and Kenneth Sampson; Goddaughters, Shayla Allen, Sharqueesha McCray, and Love Bellamy.S; close Friend, Charles Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The remains will repose one hour prior to service (1:00 p.m.) at the Church.   We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
