Sister Ethel Mae Collins of Tampa passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 22 at 1 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Apostle Lance Haynes, officiating. Please follow the CDC guidelines.
Sister Ethel was a native of Jacksonville, Florida born to Mr. Frank Clark and Essie Mae Geter-Clark. She was primarily raised by her mother and loving and devoted stepfather, Arthur Lee Willis. Sister Ethel was a faithful attendee of Brown’s Memorial COGIC until her health began to fail. She loved to study her bible and Sunday School lessons even when she could not attend church. She was preceded in death by: her parents, stepfather and husband, Donald Collins.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four sisters, Johnnie Mae (Johnnie) Griffin of Jacksonville, FL, Vivian Clark of Wesley Chapel, FL, Mercedes James of Tampa, FL and Yvonne (Rickey) Jackson of Tampa, FL; 17 nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews; dear friends, Mother Maureen Hayes, Pastor Doryce Gilderson, Mary Brown and Gloria Tiller; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday morning, May 22 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Ray Williams Funeral Home. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC guidelines.
