Ethel Lee Pearson

Mrs. Ethel Lee Pearson of Tampa, FL passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Apostle Elroy Huff, Officiating.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. 

Mrs. Ethel Lee Pearson was born January 20, 1937 in Albany, Georgia to Dan and Mary Alice Cole and moved to Tampa in 1957.  Mrs. Pearson married Mr. Sammie Lee Pearson Sr. in September 1957 and to this union, they were blessed with seven children.

Mrs. Pearson was a former member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, being a homemaker and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Sammie Lee Pearson Sr.; parents, Dan and Mary Alice Cole; daughter, Patricia D. Cruz and grandson, Levi Dixon Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  3 daughters, Jennie (John), Hazel (Ben) and Angela (Mike), all of Tampa, FL; 3 sons, Sammie Jr., Ricky (Melissa) and Rudy (Nikia), all of Tampa, Florida;  27 grandchildren, Kienuwa, Enibokun (Simon), Elroy, Lynford, Sophia, Tricia, Carl, Derek, Deirdra, Zandreal, Ebony, Erica, David, Joseph, Sammie, An’Tia, Ri’Jae, Rikki, Alexandria, Rudy II, Alexia, Matthew, Quicy, Malcom, Rudy III and A’yana; 18 great grands, Elroy Jr., Jordan, Elroynaja, Christopher, Haimerej, Michael, Mikayla, La’Dajah, Ja’Mya, Ja’Nay, Ja’Quan, Shakira, Jayden, Colton, Auri Marie, Aleena, Rai’Lynn  and Ny’Jai; 2 great great grands, Zion and Mark Anthony; Godsons, Darrell, Donald and Jayden (Pop Pop); Goddaughter, Jaliz;  2 brothers, Oscar Emmanuel and Roosevelt (Karen); 6 sisters, Inez, Adele, Estelle (Willie James), Gloria (Danny), Rosa Mae and Bertha Mae (Willie) and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
