Deaconess Ethel M. Tolliver of Tampa, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 2002 N. Rome Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607 with Dr. C. T. Kirkland, officiating. (MASK RECOMMENDED) Interment will be on Monday, November 22, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
Deaconess Ethel Tolliver was a native of Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 60 years. She attended Blake Adult High School, "Class of 1966" and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the Jubilee Chorus, The Sanctuary Choir, Deaconess Ministry and the Pastor Aid Ministry.
She was employed at the Hillsborough County Public Schools as a Head Cook and retired after 25 years of service.
Deaconess Tolliver was preceded in death by: her son, Derrick Law; daughter, Sharon Tolliver-Raiford; mother, Sarah Rivers; sisters, Annie V. Redding, Henrietta Redding, Lela Mae, Mamie Murray, Emridge Streeter, and Rose Powell; sister-in-law, Mary Hightower; nephews, Charles Murray, and John Murray.
Deaconess Tolliver leaves to cherish precious memories with a loving and devoted husband, Deacon Charlie Tolliver Jr.; two loving sons, Carey D. Law (Mary) and Charlie D. Tolliver (Anna Vala); devoted granddaughter, Terrika Law-Howard (Malio Sr.); devoted great grandsons, Maceo S. Walker (Vontrece) and Malio Howard Jr.; 2 loving great granddaughters, Taniya and Maleah Howard; sister-in-law, Clara Boone; 3 nieces, Sarah Hodge, Charlotte Murray, and Padrika Shephard (Kelvin); great nephew, Kinmen Hodge; nephew, Edwin Boone; great niece, Jasmine McKay and a host of cousins, devoted friends, the Luke Family, The Carlton Family, Dorothy Jenkins, Regina Wilson, Carla Jackson, Sister Willie Mae Thomas and Family, Deacon Timothy Pierce, The Holmes Family, The Harris Family, The Wilcox Family and The Williams Family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
