Mr. Freddie Leon Thomas “J.R.” of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Mr. Freddie Thomas was a native of Attapulgus, GA and a resident of Tampa for 40 years. He worked construction most of his life and was employed as a maintenance man at Brocato’s Sandwich Shop.
“J.R.” enjoyed playing basketball with his grandchildren and always looked forward to a night out dancing with his wife and playing pool. Mr. Thomas also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna L. Thomas, wife of 32 years, Deborah Harris and grandson, Cornelius George Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Lakisha N. Story-Carter; son-in-law, Tony Carter; son, Nigel Davis (Stephanie Amos) and grandchildren, Raymond Johnson, Chavontesha Johnson, Amilia Davis, Aria Davis and Kieran Davis.
