Gary "Bubba" Washington

Mr. Gary "Bubba" Washington of Tampa, FL was called home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at College Hill Church of God in Christ, 6414 N. 30th Street, Tampa, FL 33610 with Reverend Joseph A. Sykes, officiating. (MASK RECOMMENDED)  Interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. 

"Bubba" was a native of Tampa and born on October 11, 1998. He was a "2017" graduate of Wharton High School with some level of college experience. Bubba later decided to become a truck driver and pursued his CDL. Although he drove for various trucking companies, he finally landed a permanent position with Wawa before he was called home. 

He was preceded in death by: his great grandmother, Sister Knight; uncle, Forrest Cooper and cousin, Lance James Jr. 

He leaves to cherish memories to: his mother, Glenda-Marie Washington; father, Christopher Nelson; grandparents, Margaret Washington, Amelia Nelson and Venola Lynwood; precious son, Geno Washington; girlfriend, Tomeia Denson; brothers, De'Mon James, Fat Cat Darby and Michael Curry; sister, Chri'sshaundra Nelson; cousins, Rashad and Ramon Washington, Alandria and Alandra Knight, Sean Walker, Kaleesha Brown, Vontavious Tillmon, Markevis, Marquis, Markel and Martavious Cooper, Chalancia James, Sherene Newby, Leann Knight, Ronald Thomas Jr. Jamarcus Robinson, Kwami Lofton, Cortarrious Floyd, Chance, Mataya and Lacey James; God grandmother, Patricia Williams; uncles, Albert Knight, Lance James Sr. (Ashley), Jerome and Oliver Lynwood and Gio Davis; aunts, Katie Brown, Trendie Newby, Nita Lynwood, Loschelle and Lynn Darby, Shandora Davis and Zanreael Williams; close friends, Nushawn McCogg, Mykiam Buggs and Wannaisha Bailey and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.  (MASK RECOMMENDED)
