Georgianne Burns

Ms. Georgianne Burns of Tampa, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 7 at 12 Noon at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Reverend W. James Favorite, officiating.  Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.  Please follow the CDC guidelines.

Ms. Georgianne Burns was a native of Tampa, Florida and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County.  She was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School and Allen University, Columbia, South Carolina.  Ms. Burns retired as an Educator for the New Jersey School System, with over 25 years of service.  She was a member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Brittany G. Ransome and Philana S. Ransome; one grandson, Nolan P. Ransome; brother, Reginald L. Burns; sister, Cheryl B. Goodman; 12 nieces and nephews, Ernest Jones, Ernest D. Burns, Kevin Burns, Kenya Burns, Dana Williams, Angela Burns, Reginald L. Burns, Jr., Michelle Ginyard, Christopher Burns, Matthew A. Burns, Torrance Shepard, and Tarra D. Brooks; aunt, Gwendolyn McMullins (Tommy) of CA and uncle, Clarence Williams (Clara) of GA; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. 

The remains will repose from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 6 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.   We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
