Brother Harold Gibson, of Wimauma, Florida, departed this life on Friday, July 10, 2020. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah M.B. Church, 5910 Vel Street, Wimauma, FL 33598 with Reverend Eddie Starling, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Wimauma Community Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Due to Social Distancing, seating will be limited to immediate family unless otherwise stated by family. Masks are required.
Harold was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. and Deloise Mae Gibson. He received his education in Duval County Public Schools, after which he began a life-long career in farming for over forty years. Harold gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Wimauma, Florida.
Harold was preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. John B. Gibson and Mrs. Deloise Gibson; brothers, John and Clifford Gibson; niece, Darling Calhoun; and mother-in-law, Gloria Young.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Cheryl Gibson; grandfather, Deacon James Berrien, Sr.; father-in-law, Deacon Charlie Young; children, Bryant Young, Sr. (April), Myesha Young (Vincent), Cherish Riley, Ebony Cohen (Freeman), Spanderia Cooloopk, and LaTisha Gibson; grandchildren, Keelan Young, Demaurio Young, Bryant Young, Jr., Keshawn Young, Jaquez Young, Jimmeira Young, Freeman Cohen, Javanae Young, Kevon Johnson, Julian Cohen, Alaila Jenkins, Otis Jenkins IV, Kenya Cohen, Kavaila Johnson, Rihanna Gardner, Jordan Cohen, Xajavier Gardner, Javaris Gardner, Paris Gardner, Tyler Gardner, and Jazzaria Wilson; sisters, Beverly Y. The Visitation will be held Friday, July 24th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mt. Moriah M.B. Church. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. *MASKS ARE REQUIRED*.
