Helen King

Ms. Helen P. King of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Tampa Life Church, 10930 US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 with Pastor Robert Tisdale, officiating.  (MASK RECOMMENDED)  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Ms. Helen P. King was born on April 26, 1935 to Leroy and Allie Mae Pringley in Donaldsonville, GA.  She was a resident of Tampa for 63 years and was a member of Calvary Tabernacle UPC.  She was employed as a Delivery Driver at the Department of Transportation.

Helen enjoyed fishing and gathering of family and friends at her home.  Mom never had an empty seat at her dinner table because our friends were always welcomed.  Mother never met a stranger, she drew people in with her infectious smile and loving demeanor.  She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago through the Acts 2:38 message, and walked faithful with the Lord.  She attended Church regularly until she became ill, but continued to read her Bible and listen to her Gospel music.

She was preceded in death by:  8 siblings; 3 sons, Kelvin, Earl, and Robbie.

She leaves to cherish her memories and the values of life she constantly taught her 5 loving children, Phyllis (Jerry), Dexter (Beverly), Linda, Elizabeth, and Kayvette; and daughter-in-law, Betty King.  She was the matriarch of the family and had 8 children, 25 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
