Mr. Henry “Fred” Baker of Tampa, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Johnnie Miller, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Baker was a native of Coolidge, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years. Fred was a Concrete Finisher for various companies. He was a member of Friendly Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Katie Williams; father, George Baker; sisters, Blandine, Blanche, Betty, and Poochie; and brothers, George Jr. and Tommy.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Evelyn; daughters, Tia Downey (Markus), and Luwanda English; grandchildren, Shakeema Downey, Markus Downey, Jr., Roche Lawton (Taylor), Darrell Henley (Tamika), and Jessie English, Jr.; great grandchildren, D.J., Keon, Darielle, and Ariel; sisters, Gertrude, Ola, and Patricia; brother, Charzelle Baker (Sheri); sisters-in-law, Kim Baisden, Peggy Austin, Lillian Sanford, Terri Floyd and Helenor Baker; aunt, Lula Lewis; neighbor, Walter Hayes (Betty); Habana Nursing Home Staff, Francine and Diane; dear friends, Gloria Hutchins, Clevetta McHenry, and Marsha Roberts and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL.
