James Hutchinson, Jr.

Mr. James Hutchinson Jr. of Tampa passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Palmetto Street with Reverend Anthony W. Greene, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will be held, Monday, June 1st  in the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida. Please follow the CDC guidelines.

Mr. James Hutchinson, Jr.  was a native of Chipley, Harris County, Georgia and a resident of Tampa, Florida for over 50 years.   He was born to Mary & James Hutchinson Sr. and was educated in Chipley, Harris County, Georgia School District. He and his wife move to Tampa, FL over 50 years ago.  Mr. Hutchinson was a United State Army Veteran who served for 4 years. After his Honorable Discharge he began his second career with the City of Tampa, where he worked for over 20 years.   Mr. Hutchinson was a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens where he served as a Deacon under the leadership of Reverend Anthony W. Green.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mary & James Hutchinson Sr.; wife, Christine Hutchinson; and brother, Willie Roy Hutchinson.

 He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Anthony Hutchinson; fiancée, Angela Pearson; sister, Nettie (Willie) Tucker; brother, Robert Hutchinson (Donnie); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, and God children and the Lincoln Garden Church family & friends.

The visitation will be held Friday, May 29, from 3 - 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
