James Sessions

Mr. James Earl Sessions, A.K.A Pumpkin was born January 09,1951, in Panama City, Florida to his parents; Jake and Karetta Sessions. At the age of 5 years old he moved to Graceville Florida where he attended Graceville Elementary School from 1st5th grade. James returned to Panama City, Florida where he attended Glenwood Elementary School and Rosenwald High School. Upon completion of High School James joined the Job Corp in Salt Lake City Utah and received his certification in Auto Mechanics. James moved to Tampa Florida, in 1971 where he worked at the City of Tampa Sanitation Department. James found his passion and worked many years plastering and stuccoing alongside special friends Curtis Williams, Van, Russell Mormon and Marcellous. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings. James will truly be missed by a plethora of family and friends. James was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann Sessions 1 month and 1 day after birth, father Jake Sessions, Maternal Grandmother Ella Baker, Paternal Grandmother Jossie Waters, Step father John Alexander, Step Mother Mattie Sessions, Sister Donna Marie Sessions, Brother Willie Lewis Brown, Brother-In-Law Master Sergeant Leroy Green Jr, Auntie Amelia Gayle, Cousin Joshua Johnson, Cousin Ronnie Johnson, and Cousin Jeannie Williams. He leaves precious memories with: his daughters, Queen Elizabeth Sessions, Teresa Sessions Burden and Nekuana Sessions; son, James Sessions Jr.; mother, Karetta Alexander; grandchildren, Jerbar Noah, Janese Russ, and Shekinah Burden; great grandchildren, Camiyah Reed and Cameron Reed Jr.; siblings, loving sister and devoted caregiver Anita Green, Ilene Lane (Dennis), Delphine Lane, Jerry Ann Norton (Joseph), Johnny Frank Sessions (Linda), Jannie Mae Shivers, Barbara Tiller-Evans (Isaac), Jewel Gross (Gregory), Mattie Sessions McCoy, Rickey Sessions, Ray Sessions (Arickia), Jack Sessions, Jerome Sessions (Dawn), Jessie Dean Brown (Pam), Grayson Sessions, Roderick Sessions, and Derrick Sessions (Anna Maria); aunt, Marylyn Ruth Torrence; nephews, Leslie Antonio Brooks Sr. (Yvette), Sergeant Major Edward Martez Hearn, Samuel Leroy Green (Kanisha), Marcus Sessions (Jillian), Johnny Frank Sessions Jr. (Tanya), Cleveland Alexander, John Chandler (Ebony), Leonard Green (Sonia), and Chris Harris; nieces, Ebony Nicole Green, Karetta Monique Green (Key), Kennetha Warren, Janelle Mond, Jeralaine Beckwith, and Tomeka Truesdell (Gary); great nephews, Leslie Antonio Brooks Jr., Antonio Marquise Brooks, Dasean Brooks, and Jordan Brooks; special great niece, Ida Cherise Hearn; special cousins, Ella Mae Johnson, Laurie Mae Johnson, Joann Mike, Jonetha Barkley, Ray Lamar Barkley, Genevie Rouhlac, Betty Jean Capheart, Pandora White, L.C.
