Jerrick DeAndre Vann of Land O’Lakes, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Superintendent Charles Davis, Pastor of College Hill COGIC officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. Masks are required. Mr. Jerrick D. Vann was a native of Orlando, Florida born to Gloria Walker-Riley and Ricky Vann. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, a graduate of Armwood High. He was a member of College Hill COGIC for 31 years, where he sang in the choir and was a usher.
Jerrick was employed at Mellow Mushroom and Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux Restaurants, Wesley Chapel, FL for several years. He was fondly referred as J-Rock. Jerrick enjoyed music and spending spare time with his family and friends. He was known to call special co-workers, family, and friends constantly.
A loving devoted father that regularly visited his son Zymere, the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by uncle, Gregory Walker.
He leaves cherished precious memories: son, Zymere Rainge; a loving and devoted mother, Gloria Riley; father, Ricky Vann; brother, Julian Vann; grandparents, Deacon James and Mother Henrietta Walker, Robert and Earline Clark; uncles Willie (Diane) Burks, Reginald Walker and James (Tanja) Walker Jr.; aunts Evelyn Walker, Ida Walker and Mildred Burks; cousins Monica, Regina (Jemal), Lenardo (Anise), Charity, Kortni, Markeyth, Steven, Angela, John, Ola, Anina, Karonda, John, Nicky, Nadine, Ebony, Dezmond, James III, Lance, Javaris, Christina and Donald; a host of special friends; a host of extended family; the College Hill COGIC church family.
The remains will repose from 4 - 6 p.m. Saturday, May 22 and on Sunday, May 23 from 12 noon until service time at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Masks are required. The family request that guests wear shades of blue.
