Leroy O'Neal, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Leroy C. O’Neal, Jr. of Tampa passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 9 at 4:00 p.m. at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 2101 Lowe Street with Pastor Antonio Hawkins, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.  We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.  Masks are required. 

Mr. Leroy C. O’Neal, Jr. was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida.  He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Hillsborough High School.  Mr. O’Neal was employed as a Construction Worker. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Willie James Massey, George O’Neal and Charles Sutton; and close friends, Gerald, Remus and Nick. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Trina Massey (Albert); father, Leroy O’Neal; grandparents, Mary Massey and Shirley Sutton; 7 beautiful children, Deriona, London, Leroy, Jr., S’Mariyah, Zamora, Logan and Legend; brother, Marquez O’Neal; three sisters, LaTefia Williams (Jermaine), LaTrionia O’Neal and Tynishia O’Neal; four nieces, Jeriyah Williams, Arie Jackson, Maci O’Neal and Jayda Pease; 4 nephews, Jayden Jackson, Jermarion Williams, Jermaine Williams and Jayce Pease; God-parents, Pamela Adderley and Michael Grant; God-sister, Sinceray Williams; mothers of his children, Kiara Williams, Tierika Cannon and Shontra Johnson; uncles/like a father, William J. Massey (Regina), Terrance and Mark O’Neal; two great uncles, Charles Ray Lyles (Harley), and Robert Lyles; aunts, Sharonda Warren, Billie O’Neal, Sikya O’Neal and Cassandra Blackmon; cousins, William Massey (Tornika), Regine Massey, Pearl Massey, Dominique Massey, Jacques Massey (Cookie), Ja’Nae Massey, Williyon Massey, Antonio Wells, Johnny Wells, Wayne Powell, III, Tyrell Warren, Jarihana Williams, De’Andre Rodriguez, Linwood Hall, Kennel O’Neal, Robert Lyles (Lakita) and  Shawana Grace; and a host of other loving relatives and friends that truly loved and will miss him. 

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 2021, however there will be viewing prior to the service at the church.
