Mrs. Lillian C. Gardner, of Tampa, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021. A Graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, with Reverend Geraldine Christopher, officiating. Interment will follow.

Mrs. Lillian Gardner was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Don Thompson (Blake) High School. Mrs. Gardner was a member of St. Paul A.ME. Church and then later joined Tyler Temple United Methodist Church. She was a Notary Public for the State of Florida, and member of the Tampa Civic Association, Las Damas Social and Civic Club, Tampa Preservation, Inc. and The Florida Association of Educational Office Professionals. Mrs. Gardner was employed by the School District of Hillsborough County as an Administrative Secretary.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Robert G. Gardner, Jr. and wife, Normita (Von), Jackie M. Gardner, and Dr. Le’Isaac J. Gardner and wife, Desne; her daughter, Dr. Pia J. Gardner; her sister, Rosa Lee Shellman and husband, Frank; her nieces, Valerie Pearce, Cynthia Williams, Michelle Granville and husband, Ralph, Sheila Youngblood and husband, James, Deborah Correa, Ola Correa, Gina Correa, Georgette “GG” Gardner, and Georgette Gardner-Saul; her nephews, Frank Shellman III, Ronald LeGree and wife, Emma, Joseph Correa, Jr. and wife, Shirley, Michael Correa, John Correa, Fredrick Harris, Wesley Gardner, Jose Gardner, and Adrian Gardner; she also leaves behind a beautiful host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Her legacy of enduring love and compassion will live forever.
The visitation will be held, Tuesday, February 9, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
