Mrs. Lillie Mae Stubbs of Tampa passed away Monday, February 3, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion AME Church, 7401 S. Kissimmee Street with Reverend James T. Golden, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Lillie Mae Stubbs was a native of Montgomery, Alabama and a resident of Tampa for 64 years. She was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School and was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church (Port Tampa). Mrs. Stubbs was employed as a Home Health Care Supervisor for Hillsborough County for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Pearl Williams; fathers, Johnnie King and Rufus Williams; grandchildren, Michael Bolden and O. J. Murdock; sister Diane Young; daughter-in-law, Delores Lovett and special friend, Diane Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving daughter, Karon Hester; two loving sons, Kelvin L. Murdock (Jamesena) and Derrick A. Lovett; grandchildren, Kerri Murdock, Derrick Lovett, Jr., Sherena Murdock, Sherod Murdock and Darius Lovett; great grandchildren, Tiyana Addison, Maliek Bolden, Michael Bolden, Odonis Murdock and Kalani Murdock; two sisters, Barbara Jean Griffen of Detroit, MI and Jeannette Solomon (Ivory Sr.); one brother, Willie Williams; nieces, Martina Shaw and LaShon Reid (James); nephews, Roy Young Jr. (India) and Ivery Solomon Jr.; great nieces, Jantalle Reid and Janelle Reid; great nephews, James Reid, II; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, February 7 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
